The very best fine dinning is Gilbert's. This is a true dinning experience with organic as it's base. The chef is also the owner and prepares the meals to what is fresh. This is a four course meal with wine selected by the chef to compliment each course. For the very special occasion.

Located one block from Eleven Gables Inn in a grand olde victorian, magnificently restored and on the lake. Entirely smoke-free.

We had two gay gentlemen staying here who ate at Gilbert's 3 out of the 4 nights in town. They said it is comparable to the best restaurants in San Francisco, which they were from.******

Located about 2 miles west of town on Hwy 50, on Lake Como, with a great outdoor patio with the food to match. The food has a Hawaiian influence.

In the summer they have live entertainment on weekends. A bit more laid back than Gilbert's but still excellent.
